Chatham

Chatham is a small, growing borough located in Morris County, which is situated in the northern portion of the state. The population is 8,962, according to the 2010 United States Census. It covers just under 2.5 square miles and is located almost 22 miles from Manhattan. Newark is 10.5 miles to the east of Chatham while several smaller boroughs surround this area. Madison is on the northwest with New Providence to the southwest. Florham Park is to the north with Woodland Park to the south. Short Hills and Millburn are on the east side with Union and Springfield to the southeast.
